About Murqato

Our story

Murqato started with a simple observation: the ethnic grocery stores that make our neighborhoods feel like home, the South Asian markets with fresh spices, the Middle Eastern shops with halal meats, the Latin American tiendas, Caribbean, African, and East Asian markets, weren't online. While big chains had delivery apps, the small, family run stores that carry the ingredients people actually grew up with were left behind.

Murqato exists to change that. We give local ethnic grocery stores the tools to sell online, and we give customers an easy way to find and order from them.

Every store on Murqato is independently owned. We don't compete with vendors or stock our own inventory. Our goal is to help neighborhood grocers reach more customers while keeping the personal touch that makes them special.
